“I contacted Nic because this time around before my next Ironman I wanted to feel different and have a better race day. I didn’t want a repeat of the same mistakes.
In my previous Ironman builds I was constantly flat, and after my last Ironman I just hadn’t bounced back, from an energy and motivation point.
While training for an Ironman I found I was always losing too much weight. Being light already this was affecting not only my energy to train, I wasn’t recovering from my sessions.
I noticed I was constantly getting sick and often needing antibiotics to recover. I was getting sick easier and easier.
I came to Nic looking for a personalised and structured nutrition plan to not only give me the energy to train, but help me maintain my muscle weight. Being busy with work, study and 4 kids it had to be simple, sustainable and family friendly.
Nic’s approach was just that, it was clear and simple working within my parameter. Exactly what I needed for my training sessions and also what I had to eat the rest of the time to keep me feeling energised.
Honestly within the first two weeks I was feeling great. I was sleeping better, wasn’t craving sweets at night and my energy was stable, even after my big Saturday and Sunday sessions. His real food approach was great because it wasn’t restrictive and I didn’t have to change too much for the family.
I’ve had a great prep this time round for my ironman in June, my energy and recovery has been great and I haven't been sick once, I’ve kept my muscle and I'm feeling quietly confident come race day.”
